COUMARIN RESISTANCE
Alternate names
COUMARIN RESISTANCE Is also known as coumarin, poor metabolism of, warfarin resistance
Description
Warfarin is a widely prescribed anticoagulant for the prevention of thromboembolic diseases for subjects with deep vein thrombosis, atrial fibrillation, or mechanical heart valve replacement (Yuan et al., 2005). The dose requirement is highly variable, both interindividually and interethnically.Variation in the VKORC1 gene is believed to be the most important individual predictor of warfarin dose, accounting for about 30% of the variance observed in dosing (Ross et al., 2010).
Most common symptoms of COUMARIN RESISTANCE
- Abnormality of metabolism/homeostasis
- Atrial fibrillation
- Abnormality of blood and blood-forming tissues
- Deep venous thrombosis

VITAMIN K-DEPENDENT CLOTTING FACTORS, COMBINED DEFICIENCY OF, 2; VKCFD2
Description
Deficiency of all vitamin K-dependent clotting factors leads to a bleeding tendency that is usually reversed by oral administration of vitamin K. Familial multiple coagulation factor deficiency is rare. Clinical symptoms of the disease include episodes of intracranial hemorrhage in the first weeks of life, sometimes leading to a fatal outcome (Fregin et al., 2002).
Most common symptoms of VITAMIN K-DEPENDENT CLOTTING FACTORS, COMBINED DEFICIENCY OF, 2; VKCFD2
- Hydrocephalus
- Abnormal bleeding
- Intracranial hemorrhage
- Reduced factor IX activity
- Reduced factor VII activity
HEREDITARY COMBINED DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN K-DEPENDENT CLOTTING FACTORS
Alternate names
HEREDITARY COMBINED DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN K-DEPENDENT CLOTTING FACTORS Is also known as glutamic acid, deficient gamma-carboxylation of, familial multiple coagulation factor deficiency iii, vitamin k-dependent coagulation defect, fmfd iii, hereditary combined deficiency of factors ii, vii, ix and x, multiple coagulation factor deficiency iii, mcfd
Description
Combined vitamin K-dependent clotting factors deficiency (VKCFD) is a congenital bleeding disorder resulting from variably decreased levels of coagulation factors II, VII, IX and X, as well as natural anticoagulants protein C, protein S and protein Z.
Most common symptoms of HEREDITARY COMBINED DEFICIENCY OF VITAMIN K-DEPENDENT CLOTTING FACTORS
- Cataract
- Hydrocephalus
- Short nose
- Congenital cataract
- Malabsorption
